Reform to create more jobs

The Danish government has a majority for a job plan to create 7,000 new jobs. Key points of the plan include:

Extending the green card scheme by allowing foreigners access to the Danish job market based on a points system

Tightening the rules for supplementary unemployment benefits

Granting a tax discount to persons aged 64 years of up to approximately EUR 15,000 if they have been employed since turning 60 years of age

Extending the job card scheme and reducing the scheme’s earnings limit from EUR 60,000 to EUR 50,000

Reintroducing the adult apprentice scheme

Allowing old-age pensioners better opportunities to work without it affecting their old-age pension entitlement
